IT Studio®  - Features

 Fortune 500 companies, U.S. military, government institutions, major universities and consultants are using IT Studio software to control and design some of the largest facilities in the world. The IT Studio software solution eliminates the problems confronting data center management such as equipment locations, asset management, rack management, cable management and power management.

Click for larger image		 IT Studio is composed of two major sections, the Drawing and the Database.

Each object in the drawing whether equipment, cable, furniture, power distribution units, etc … all link to the database.

The database stores information from the equipment, cables and power in the drawing using SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase and Access. From the database, users can search for information whether technical or administrative pertaining to the specific equipment, cabling or power in the drawing as well as create and run reports.


Rack Management

Install and maintain your Rack environment:

  • Rack Management includes many unique features not found in any other software product. Rack Management contains true 3D rack mounted equipment and racks taking physical space in a drawing. The environment is drawn to scale. All data is contained in the racks, rack mountable equipment, power and data cables, furniture, power outlet strips and other numerous details. This information is accessible with the drill down database routines especially designed for rack reporting. Rack mountable devices will be shown with text for identification and additional capabilities of assigning color value (IBM-blue Compaq-red etc...). Review the Rack Management features below for a new experience in documenting and reporting of rack mountable equipment and related issues.

  • Select pre-built or customized racks from the IT Studio menu and place them in your physical drawing. All racks were created specifically from the drawings and data provided by the manufacturers' specifications. The rack mountable devices may be positioned within those racks; and each rack itself may be inventoried and reported on using our drill down database.

  • Rack Management equipment are "true" 3D objects drawn directly from the manufacturers' footprints. All data assigned to the equipment are from the manufacturers' specifications. This equipment is "not" simple images or 2D pictures pasted to a page. The equipment is pre-built or may be custom built by the user with the custom build routine.

Rack Management



Power Management

Install and Maintain your Power:

  • This powerful module allows you to "power up" your hardware as you install it. Connectors/Receptacles and Plugs are shown from machine to power panel.

  • Print reports for power panels documenting what each CB is connected to, i.e. machine type, connector/receptacle and plug types, etc... This versatile feature supports multiple outlets and user designed power panels.

Cable Management
Install and maintain your Cables:

  • Cabling provides you with accurate drawings and the abilities to produce the necessary configuration cable reports to support your plan without additional effort.

  • IT Studio Cabling system provides a means to document the “Cable Trays” in Drawing and the capability to highlight the “Tray Routing” and the selected cable from any port in a machine.
  • Documents any cable type in your facility.

  • Eliminates double entry work. Our cabling system contains intelligent information linked to the database, in addition to the equipment they connect to.
